Conterno Fantino belongs to the modern winemakers who strive for a high quality that is relatively quick to drink. After all, the traditional Barolo wines sometimes have to age for ten years before they are soft enough to drink. The vineyard Sori Ginestra is a prime location. This wine is regularly highly rated in the international wine press. The highest rating ever was 99 out of 100 points by the well-known American magazine “Wine Specatator”. Although the Sori Ginestra is a modern Barolo, the wine needs at least 4 to 5 years of aging after harvest. It is actually best to decant the wine a few hours before serving.
