Full red wine from France with ripe fruit tones and herbs in the smell and a full soft taste. Delicious with lightly spiced dishes from the grill or from the oven.
Description
Frédéric and Lucile Delay operate 15 hectares of vineyards at the foot of Mont Ventoux. There are mainly older vines - up to 50 years old - that yield different wine styles. The cuvée Vieilles Vignes is a selection of the oldest vines Grenache (80%) Syrah (15%) and Carignan (5%). The yield per vine is low and ensures grapes with excellent ripening and concentration. The wine is deliberately not barrel matured so that the characteristics of the grape are in the foreground. The spicy spicy character of the Grenache grape is therefore prominent. Compared to the nearby Côtes du Rhône, good Ventoux in the vicinity of Mont Ventoux (cool downwinds) is more fragrant and fresher in taste.
