Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire

A dry white wine with a dusty aroma of the sauvignon grape. The taste is full and fresh dry, with a pleasant, persistent aftertaste.

Pierre Clément has now brought his beautiful dry white sauvignon from the calcareous vineyards in Menetou-Salon to a great level of quality. Due to its great culinary versatility, this intensely pure white wine is a favorite of sommeliers in countless restaurants.

Pierre Clément's strong point is the constant and high quality of this fresh and appetizing wine. After the picking, a selection of the best grapes follows on sorting tables. One third of the harvest soaks briefly with the skin and is then pressed with little pressure. After fermentation, the wine matures 'sur lie'. This happens during the winter months; the wine is only bottled in March.

Clément makes a top-notch sauvignon and his wine is high on the list of the most sought-after white Loire. Both the Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir grapes reached optimum ripeness in 2015, with sufficient sugars and with good acidity retention.
