White wine from Abruzzo

Good chardonnay can currently be found all over the world. However, we reserve a special place for Italian productions. The habit of Italians to drink wines almost exclusively with meals ensures that the chardonnay is made while retaining freshness. A good example is the Villa Castello from southern Italy. The Colline Teatine is actually located in Abruzzo. However, only the Trebbiano grape may be used for white DOC wines, which in most cases produces a fairly light white wine. The chardonnay used for the Villa Castello is fuller and juicier and matured briefly in oak barrels. An excellent glass bottled as a regional wine.
