Domaine Ferdinand Engel
Alsace is a very well-known supplier of white wines. However, there is also a limited production of red wines from the Pinot Noir grape. Due to the special, very sheltered location of Alsace, the region is fairly warm and dry. As a result, Pinot Noir thrives there, despite its fairly northern location.
Wine producer Fernand Engel switched to organic grape cultivation years ago. Since 2006, all Engel vineyards have had the organic Ecocert certificate. Due to its smooth and fresh character, Pinot Noir is very suitable for drinking something cool.
