Description

Bodegas Falernia belongs to the Italians Aldo Olivier and Giorgio Flessati. They make crystal-clear wines in the northernmost wine-growing region of Chile. The Pedriscal carménère is Falernia's best red wine from this grape variety. The late and very ripe harvested grapes come from the Pedriscal vineyard and are strictly selected during the manual harvest. After arrival in the cellar, a classic vinification follows with the first fermentation in stainless steel tanks and the second fermentation in largely new oak barrels. After this, the wine matures for a good 12 months as is customary with great wines. After bottling, the bottles are left to rest for at least another year. The Pedriscal was chosen as the best carménère during the 12th Wines of Chili Awards competition.
