Description
Bodegas Falernia belongs to the Italians Aldo Olivier and Giorgio Flessati. They make flawless wines in the northernmost wine-growing region of Chile. The Pedriscal carménère is Falernia's best red wine from this grape variety. The grapes, harvested late and very ripe, come from the Pedriscal vineyard and are rigorously selected during the manual picking. After arrival in the cellar, a classic vinification follows with the first fermentation in stainless steel tanks and the second fermentation in largely new oak barrels. After this, the wine matures as usual with great wines for more than 12 months. After bottling, the bottles rest for at least another year. The Pedriscal was chosen as the best carménère during the 12th Wines of Chili Awards competition.
