Description

Bodegas Falernia belongs to the Italians Aldo Olivier and Giorgio Flessati. They make flawless wines in the most northern wine-growing region of Chile. The syrah is an example of this. This grape likes a warm climate, which is why Falernia plants it in the warmest vineyards. The entire harvest is picked by hand and transported to the cellar in small containers. This way they arrive undamaged and in top condition. After de-stemming and bruising, the juice soaks with the grape skin for approximately 72 hours. This is followed by fermentation and maturation. About half of the harvest matures in small French and American oak casks. The other half retains more fruitiness by staying in stainless steel tanks. The assembly is harmonious and successful.
