Description

De Morgenzon is not only a very beautiful wine estate, but here everything revolves around making quality. The vineyards are located in the higher and cool areas of Stellenbosch between 200 and 400 meters above sea level. The philosophy of the Morgenzon is that a high quality Stellenbosch wine combines the fruit of the New World with the elegance of the Old World. This is reflected in wines with a pleasant drinkability at the Morgenzon. The wood-aged chenin is considered one of South Africa's best white wines. The Stellenbosch Gorge vineyards deliver a low yield (30 hl / ha) with a naturally fresh acidity. After pressing, the chenin ferments and matures (8 months) in small casks. After a light filtering, bottling follows.
