"Subdued scent of peach, pear and grapefruit. Generous in the mouth, ripe and creamy in texture, yet with a fine acidity, light oak touch and juicy aftertaste. Good bite."

Walvisch Kaapse Wit is an original blend of chenin blanc, roussanne and viognier
Walvisch Kaapse Wit is an original blend of Chardonnay Viognier and Chenin Blanc. The grapes mainly come from vineyards of the renowned DeMorgenzon Estate in Stellenbosch. The talented winemaker Carl van der Merwe turns young vines into a wonderfully fresh and seductively fruity white wine. Surprising combination of New World fruit and Old World elegance so the best of both worlds. Perfect to drink young and to serve as an aperitif.
Walvisch is the name of a ship within the fleet of the Dutchman Jan van Riebeeck that docked at the Cape of Good Hope on April 6, 1652. The name Walvisch symbolizes the age-old bond between the Netherlands and South Africa.
