Tasting note L'Arjolle Equilibre Chardonnay
Southern French white wine with an aroma of green apple butter and oak. Full powerful fresh taste. Excellent with pasta fish mussels shrimp and crayfish.
Description
Chardonnay can sometimes be heavy, fat and not very exciting, the Equilibre from L'Arjolle is certainly not! This wine has the delicious combination of ripe tones, fresh elegance and a nice oak touch.
The majority of the grapes (70%) ferment in stainless steel tanks and mature on the yeast cells for a few months. The other part is fermented in small oak barrels followed by a six-month barrel maturation.
The blend of both wines produces beautiful fruity tones, with the seductive influence of oak. Typical southern French chardonnay of excellent level, made with finesse according to the 'agriculture raisonnée', a sustainable way of wine growing. The vineyards with approximately thirty year old vines are located in the village of Margon, near Pézenas and Béziers.
The three colours of Arjolle
The French are particularly proud of their tricolour flag and of the beautiful southern French Languedoc, where delicious 'tricolore wines' come from. White, rosé and red from Domaine de l'Arjolle are model wines for this region.
