White wine from Sonoma Valley

Californian Sonoma is larger than the well-known Napa Valley but is divided into sub-regions and is therefore much less known. Only insiders have heard of, for example, Russian River Alexander Valley or Dry Creek Valley. This last small area, considered by many to be one of the best wine regions, is located between the two aforementioned regions in the northern cooler part of California. Winemaker Jim Pedroncelli especially wants to let the fruit of the grape dominate and harvests his Chardonnay early so that the freshness and fruit aromas are preserved. For the attractive thickness in taste and toasty aromas, approximately 30% of the wine matures in oak. A beautiful and powerful citrus-like style Chardonnay that can also be drunk as an aperitif.
