Description

The beautiful Abruzzo is located in the middle of Italy and its wine regions have many different micro-climate zones. The vineyards are located between the Adriatic Sea and the foothills of the Apennines. The high-altitude vineyards of the Madregale pinot grigio are a lot cooler than those near the sea and ensure a slow ripening, so that the grape retains optimum freshness. You can taste that in this pure white wine and that is one of the reasons why this Abruzzo pinot grigio is distinctive from the common counterparts from the northern Veneto with its many flat (and warmer) vineyards. The appellation of origin Terre di Chieti is located in Abruzzo and is used for the many planted grape varieties that are not originally from this region.
