Cantine due Palme is one of the specialists in the area and makes full round wines from grapes such as negroamaro and primitivo. The susumaniello grape is a great unknown even for most professional wine enthusiasts. This grape probably has a Dalmatian origin. Winemaker Angelo Maci has the grapes picked by hand in small containers transported to the wine cellar and aged for about 6 months in small oak casks after fermentation. The result is a full-bodied dark wine that retains delicious fresh acidity thanks to this special grape variety.
