Description

The beautiful town of Orvieto in Umbria is known to wine lovers for its beautiful, dry white wine. The city's winegrowers' cooperative, Cardèto, makes a good portion of the supply, mainly supplying it in bulk to traders in Umbria and Tuscany who sell them under their own names. However, the best of the production is bottled itself and the 'Linea Città' is the best selection. This wine is on the menu in countless restaurants in Orvieto and is locally praised for its quality. The vineyards with 45% trebbiano, 40% grechetto and 15% chardonnay have a south-eastern exposure, are approximately 25 years old and are harvested in three stages, at the end of August, mid-September and the end of October.
