A delicious juicy modern wine

The white Las Cuadras is a textbook example of a juicy, modern wine with flawless fruit and grape aromas. The Viognier and Muscat grapes are picked by hand in the early and cool morning hours and taken directly to the cellar. There they quickly go into the cold room, where they stay for about forty-eight hours.



This 'cold soaking' technique makes it possible to extract aromas from the skin of the grape in a slow and delicate way. You can taste this in the refined and beautifully scented Las Cuadras, which incidentally means 'the stables'. Not without reason, because the new fermentation cellar was built on the spot where the horses used to be stabled.


Spanish bestseller
Costers del Segre (located west of Barcelona) is an appellation that is much less known than, for example, Rioja. But off the beaten track in Spain we find plenty of wines with an exceptionally good price-quality ratio. Like this wine!

Las Cuadras was put together for us by the talented 'oenologist' Valva Martínez de Toda. In the Catalan village of Flix - about 150 kilometers west of Barcelona - she has been making beautiful wines for twelve years.

The climate in this beautiful, hilly part of Catalonia is Mediterranean, but with continental influences. That means warm days and relatively cool nights. Ideal for a winegrower who wants to make smooth, drinkable and fresh wines.
