Argentinian Cabernet Sauvignon
Full Argentinian red wine with refined aromas of coconut, coffee, forest fruit and oak. The full, spicy and powerful taste matches well with spicy dishes from the grill.
A delicious full bodega
The relatively small bodega Chakana has made the definitive choice for terroir-typed wines with the step to organic and even biodynamic viticulture. The Italian consultant Alberto Antononi plays an important role in this. He is a staunch opponent of thick, oak-dominated wines that hardly have a palpable relationship with the origin.
It goes without saying that the grapes for this beautiful Cabernet Sauvignon are picked by hand. The steep hillside vineyard is located at an altitude of 1,300 meters, on the foothills of the Andes in the Uco Valley. Characteristic of this part of Mendoza is the large difference in day and night temperatures and the higher humidity than other zones. Ideal conditions for an even and long ripening of the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.
After both fermentations, the wine is aged for twelve months in small wooden casks of French oak, about 40% new and 60% from second and third year use. Special, distinctive quality.

What do we think?: | Jacq: Full red wine with a deep red color and refined aromas of coconut, coffee, forest fruit and oak. The taste is full and powerful and develops fine, balanced tannins in the aftertaste. |
