Barossa is one of Australia's oldest and best wine regions and is internationally known for the late, iconic Peter Lehmann. His son Phil, from St. John's Road, makes a great red shiraz in this area. With the recognizable 'warm climate notes' of ripe blackberries and raspberries, slightly mint and beautiful, luxurious wood scents due to the fifteen-month maturation in French oak. This shiraz comes from specialist grape growers from the sub-districts of Ebenezer (Andy Kalleske vineyard) and Stonewell (Paul and Angie Schutz). In addition to beautiful ripeness, their shiraz has retained sufficient acidity, so that the Blood & Courage has a stylish barossa finesse. This is the wine for tasty dishes.
