Clemens Busch Mosel Riesling Trocken 2023

 

Aromatic German white wine with the scent of ripe fruit and herbs. The taste is fresh and elegant. Beautiful Riesling, which tastes excellent with poached freshwater fish or poultry in cream sauce.

The Riesling Trocken is the entry-level wine from Clemens Busch, but with that description we actually do a disservice to the quality. The lion's share of the blend comes from superior grand cru vineyards, which is rarely the case at the level of Gutswein.

The Riesling grapes are picked first, giving the wine an intense fresh-fruity character. Scents of citrus fruit, grapefruit and pineapple predominate. Although less powerful and concentrated than the higher wines, this Riesling also bears Busch's signature: pure fruit, finesse and a long aftertaste. Pure enjoyment!

Organic pioneer Clemens Busch is one of the top Riesling producers in the Moselle and a leading member of the exclusive VDP association. He makes very distinctive wines with a strong terroir expression, where the technical, human intervention in the cellar is subordinate to the style of the wine.
