Etna Bianco, Alto Adige
Beautiful, intense white wine with aromas of mango, flowers, toast and light oak. The taste sets in juicy and elegant and ends lingeringly aromatic.
Manicor Alto Adige Terlano
With its fifty hectares of biodynamically processed vineyards near Lake Kaltern (Lago di Caldaro), wine producer Manincor belongs to the absolute top of Alto Adige in northern Italy. This region owes its reputation in particular to flawless white wines from one grape variety.
Manincors Eichhorn, made from weissburgunder, pinot bianco in Italy, is a classic example. The Eichhorn owes its name to the vineyard of the same name on which the grapes grow. The southwest exposure of the vineyard ensures optimal ripeness of the grapes.
As soon as they are pressed, they undergo a short soaking of the skins for some extra aroma and structure. After spontaneous fermentation in wooden barrels, the wine matures for several months on the yeasts, to refine the aromas and taste of the wine.
This results in an impressive Weissburgunder, with beautiful ripe fruit, a florality and spiciness that immediately evoke an idyllic Alpine meadow, and also a ripening potential of several years. For optimal drinking pleasure, we advise you to decant the wine in advance if you want to drink it young, and to serve it in Burgundy glasses.

Mention
The Wine Advocate - September 2020: 93+/100 points | Delicate and specific nuances of crushed stone, pine nut and a touch of wild sage
Description
Pinot Bianco is one of the grapes most closely identified with the dynamic Alto Adige wine scene. The oak fermented Manincor 2018 Alto Adige Terlano Pinot Bianco Eichhorn offers mid-weight appeal, with peach and Golden Delicious apple that wrap smoothly over the palate. Keeping in line with the characteristics of the grape, the bouquet is rather neutral but it does reveal delicate and specific nuances of crushed stone, pine nut and a touch of wild sage or mountain herb. It's a nice selection for a white veal sausage, or any weisswurst.

Vinous | Antonio Galloni - November 2020: 91/100 points | It's a ripe, large-scaled yet truly seductive wine
Description
The 2017 Pinot Bianco Eichhorn is rich and still showing a bit of oak influence. Displays ripe yellow apple, wet stone, undergrowth, honeyed florals, and a hint of lemon curd. It's silky and textural with an attractive inner sweetness, offset by zesty acids and salty minerals. Flavors of apricot, dried peaches, and lime zest resonate, along with a hint of butterscotch. The Eichhorn goes through spontaneous fermentation in oak barrels, followed by another four months resting on the lees. It's a ripe, large-scaled yet truly seductive wine.
