Beautiful, full-bodied red wine. In the scent aromas of ripe dark fruit, spiciness and luxurious oak. The taste sets in full and silky smooth and has a long finish. Combines well with spicy dishes such as stews, but is also very suitable as an accompaniment to a piece of cheese or sausage. Ready to drink immediately after purchase and has the best taste until 4 to 5 years after harvest.

 

The special selection 'Collezione Privata' stems from the success of one of our best-selling Italian red wines, the Domiziano Negroamaro. This widely acclaimed full-bodied and smooth red charmer from Salento (Apulia) is the perfect house wine for many of our customers. The Collezione Privata is riper, fuller and more luxurious in taste.

Winemaker Angelo Maci keeps the best part of his Negroamaro harvest aside and lets the skin ferment a little longer with the juice. As a result, more flavor and color are extracted from the grape, which gives the wine more flavor thickness and concentration.

In addition, it matures for seven months in small oak casks of French origin. This aging gives the Collezione Privata a luscious and more complex taste and sets the wine to a much higher level. After bottling, there is a further maturation of a few months in the bottle, after which the wine is exported.

This luxurious Negroamaro shows itself optimally immediately after opening, with a warm, full flavor and the recognizable tones of the refined French oak.
