Description
The red Madxa (pronounced 'madsja') comes from grapes from the Dão and Alentejo. Combining different wine-growing areas is becoming a trend, although it was already very normal to do before the creation of the controlled origin areas.
Alexandre Relvas, the young winemaker trained in Bordeaux, combines the freshness and elegance of the Dão with the ripeness and thickness of Alentejo wines. The result is a mix of the Alicante Bouschet, Aragonez, Castelão and Touriga Nacional grapes. A smooth, accessible red wine that distinctively retains the freshness and light tannin of the Dão. This makes it very suitable to drink with all kinds of savory snacks, lamb stew, soft cheeses and poultry.
