Description

After the successful introduction of the popular F Blanc, the red variant was of course inevitable. L'Arjolle's idea behind the F-series is to express the finesse and fruitiness of grape varieties from cool-climate regions such as the Loire and Burgundy in the warmer, southern vineyards in the Languedoc.

While previous vintages of the F Rouge were made from cabernet franc, this year François opted for the slightly more delicate pinot noir. And with success! He allowed the grapes to ripen slowly and harvested them at optimal ripeness. This ensures elegance, ripeness and a beautiful fruit expression in the final wine.

Immediately after the harvest, cold soaking followed, fermentation and maturation in stainless steel tanks, to preserve as much fruit and finesse as possible. The end result is an intense, full-bodied Pinot Noir, which, thanks to the warm climate, is riper and smoother than many red Burgundies. A successful experiment!

Drink with
Excellent with poultry or lightly seasoned dishes from the oven.

Tasting note
Light ruby red wine with a subtle scent of currant, cherry, rosehip and green herbs. Elegant style with ripe red fruit, balanced acidity and fine tannins. The finish is smooth with notes of pepper and laurel.

Shelf life : Ready to drink and can easily be kept for 3 to 4 years after harvest date.
