Tasting note Las Cuadras Crianza
Fragrant Spanish red wine. Beautiful deep red shade; fine and powerful scent with spicy nuances and ripe fruit tones. Smooth, fresh finish with a mild evolution and soft tannin in the aftertaste. Excellent with slightly spicy starters and dishes from the grill. Drinkable now, keeps well for 4 to 5 years after harvest.
Description
The Las Cuadras wines from the rugged Catalan region of Costers del Segre are a real asset to our range. This applies in particular to this impressive Crianza: what an incredibly good and original wine, and for such a modest price! What you call a trouvaille.
Although winemaker Valva Martínez de Toda has planted a variety of grape varieties, the Crianza is made from two real classics: Grenache and Syrah. Because she believes that good wines are created in the vineyard, she pays a lot of attention to vineyard maintenance.
However, she also leaves nothing to chance in the winemaking process and uses the most modern techniques. After temperature-controlled fermentation, the wine matures for about nine months in both French and American oak barrels. After this, the wine matures in the bottle for at least six months.
Drink this luxuriously scented and tasting Crianza preferably at the table with a variety of hearty dishes ranging from stew, to grilled or stewed meat, to matured cheese.
