Tasting note Las Cuadras Crianza
Fragrant Spanish red wine. Beautiful deep red hue; fine and powerful in aroma with spicy nuances and ripe fruit tones. Smooth, fresh start with a mild evolution and soft tannins in the aftertaste. Excellent with slightly spicy starters and grilled dishes. Drink now, keeps well up to 4 to 5 years after harvest.
Description
The Las Cuadras wines from the rugged Catalan region of Costers del Segre are a real asset to our range. This is especially true for this impressive Crianza: what an incredibly good and original wine, and that for such a modest price! What you call a trouvaille.
Although winemaker Valva Martínez de Toda has planted a variety of grape varieties, the Crianza is made from two true classics: Grenache and Syrah. Because she believes that good wines are created in the vineyard, she pays a lot of attention to vineyard maintenance.
However, she also leaves nothing to chance in the winemaking process and uses the most modern techniques. After the temperature-regulated fermentation, the wine matures for about nine months in both French and American oak barrels. After this, the wine matures in the bottle for at least another six months.
Drink this luxuriously scented and flavoured Crianza preferably at the table with a variety of hearty dishes ranging from stews, to grilled or stewed meat, to matured cheese.
