The brothers Eligio and Claudio Bonomo are the proud owners of Monte del Fra, a beautiful domain in Veneto. The name dates back to the time when on this hill (monte) there was a small monastery where monks (fra) lived. At this azienda, in addition to a series of white and red wines, a delicious, mild sparkling Bardolino Chiaretto rosé is made. This wine is made from the typical grape varieties corvina, rondinella and molinara. Strangely enough, the term extra dry does not mean that the wine is very dry, but indicates a somewhat milder type of sparkling wine. Just like in the famous champagne region where brut is drier than sec!
