Description
Wine production has been going on for centuries in Catalunya, the region with its own designation of origin just north of Barcelona. In the past, mainly white wine was made, which was used for the traditionally important production of sparkling wines. This has changed considerably since the 1980s. The Mediterranean climate with the vineyards at an average altitude of 400 metres has also proven to be very suitable for making red wines.
The proof is this beautiful full red Montemar, made from garnacha tinotorera and briefly matured in oak barrels. It is deliciously fruity and pleasantly drinkable and at the same time unmistakably Spanish. With its soft, balanced taste it is a perfect wine for every day, both on its own and at the table.
