100% Impressive Viognier
Impressive white wine from 100% Viognier from the French Rhône region. Lush in the scent, with aromas of apricot, honey and a bit of toast. Rich and concentrated, with a persistent aftertaste. Excellent with refined, rich poultry or veal dishes.
Rémi Niero with his top quality
Rémi Niero is a third-generation winegrower with plots in Condrieu and Côte-Rôtie, two prestigious appellations in the Northern Rhône. Niero's production is very limited, but his wines represent the best of what the Rhône has to offer.
The Condrieu Les Ravines is a Viognier made from several prime plots with a base of pure granite. The vineyards are very steep, so the care of the soil and vines is done almost entirely by hand and with an eye for every detail.
After harvest, fermentation and maturation largely take place in stainless steel cuves to preserve the fruitiness in the wine. A minority (40%) matures in used French oak barrels for extra roundness. Les Ravines is a Condrieu with a distinctly lively character and intensely fruity taste, making it ideal for drinking young.
