Description
The Murphy family's Trentham Estate has approximately forty-five acres of vineyards in Murray Darling, Australia's South East. Due to the success of recent years, the company has grown strongly and the family also buys grapes from winegrowers who are friends. Trentham Estate's base wines are bottled under the River Retreat name, which refers to the region's unique wetlands. Wine critics praise the quality and excellent value for money. This red River Retreat is made exclusively from merlot grapes and partly matures in oak barrels. The taste is full, smooth and soft. Refined fruity and very accessible. Ideal to drink on its own, during a drink or as a meal wine with spicy (meat) dishes.
