Magnum Valpolicella Classico
Italian deep red wine with the scent of herbal cedar and lots of red fruit. The taste is spicy and strong. Delicious with spicy stews ossobucco or hare pepper.
Stefano Accordini, Veneto
The world famous Valpolicella wines come from vineyards in Veneto, in northern Italy. Stefano Accordini belongs (according to the Gambero Rosso, among others) to the leading group of quality producers. The Accordini's ripasso comes from the hilly area of the classico district and is made in a special, time-consuming and therefore expensive way.
The best part of the red Valpolicella wine is kept aside and supplemented in February with the fermented grapes, the marc, from the concentrated amarone wine. This creates a second fermentation that completely changes the wine and provides much more concentration in color, aroma and taste. After this, the wine matures for about twelve months in small oak casks.
