Magnum Valpolicella Classico

Italian deep red wine with the scent of herbs cedar and lots of red fruit. The taste is spicy and powerful. Delicious with spicy stews osso bucco or hare stew.

Stefano Accordini, Veneto

The world famous Valpolicella wines come from vineyards in Veneto, in Northern Italy. Stefano Accordini belongs (according to Gambero Rosso, among others) to the leading group of quality producers. The Accordini's ripasso comes from the hillside area of the Classico district and is made in a special, time-consuming and therefore expensive way.

The best part of the red Valpolicella wine is kept aside and in February it is supplemented with the finished fermenting grapes, the marc, from the concentrated Amarone wine. This creates a second fermentation that completely changes the wine and provides much more concentration in colour, aroma and taste. After this the wine matures for about twelve months in small oak barrels.
