Reichsrat von Buhl Pfalz Deidesheimer Herrgottsacker Erste Lage Riesling Trocken 2021

Powerful fresh dry white wine with a refined aroma and taste of grapefruit, peach, toast and light mineral complex nuance. The finish is long and richly varied. Beautiful to drink as such or to serve with fish dishes, both from the oven and fried. Keeps for at least ten years after the harvest.

This is a particularly fine Riesling from the Erste Lage (premier cru) Herrgottsacker. The plots of Von Buhl are situated high on the hill of this 'Grosslage', almost against the Grosses Gewächs (grand cru) Ungeheuer. The grapes from here are therefore of a completely different quality than from the lower and flatter parts.

This Herrgottsacker is phenomenal in quality and in our opinion of 'GG' level. A great opportunity for lovers of top quality Riesling. Only 35 hectoliters per hectare are harvested (less than allowed for GG!) and the wine matures for 14 months on the yeast cells in large oak barrels.

The organic grapes give a wine with a special refinement and complexity. It is also beautifully ripe and has a great balance between roundness and fresh acids. The creamy, aromatic strong aftertaste lasts for minutes.

You can drink the wine now, undoubtedly with great pleasure. It can also be stored, at least for another 5 to 6 years. The wine will then acquire the characteristic ripening aromas of older Riesling and will therefore taste more pronounced. Taste this fantastic Herrgottsacker and get to know Riesling of the highest level.
