Description

Wine master and maker Jürgen von der Mark from Baden owes his reputation to his great Spätburgunders, but he also appears to have a talent for Riesling. Von der Mark harvests the Riesling grapes from vines that are over 20 years old. He lets the juice ferment partly with the grape's own yeasts. After fermentation, he matures the wine for a few months with the lees in stainless steel tanks, for extra complexity and flavor intensity.

And indeed, this Alte Reben is not only pleasantly fresh, but also beautifully round and full of flavor. With its typical Riesling nose of flowers and stone fruit, this is not only a delicious wine to drink, but also has broad gastronomic uses. For example, try it with a refined starter with raw fish, or with chicken with lemon from the oven. Surprising!
